About The Snowman

A fresh flurry of snow has fallen over this brand-new staging as the much-loved Snowman gets a mesmerising new make-over. Based on Raymond Briggs’ cherished book, this sparkling new production features Howard Blake’s iconic score including the Christmas classic Walking In The Air, beautifully crafted puppets and of course… a gravity-defying friendship!

When Christmas Eve magic breathes life into a young boy’s snowman, an unforgettable adventure begins. The boy invites his new friend into his cosy home, before they glide together hand-in-hand across the starlit sky. Along the way they meet Father Christmas, a herd of friendly reindeer, and enjoy a merry party with the Snowman’s friends beneath the shimmering Northern Lights.

This enchanting new production is directed and choreographed by Olivier award-winning Will Tuckett (Into the Woods (Royal Opera House) and The Nutcracker (National Ballet of Japan) with set and costume design by the multi-award-winning Anna Fleischle (Punch, 2:22 A Ghost Story).

Step into your cosiest pyjamas and embrace your inner child with this magical family adventure for the young, and young at heart.
